By booking through Sense of Africa Botswana you have automatically contributed to Travel for Impact, a socially responsible initiative dedicated to supporting local charities in Botswana. At no additional cost to yourself USD 1 per person per night has been donated on your behalf.

What is Travel for Impact?

TFI is a powerful, unique and dynamic social movement with a vision to change the lives of many through a simple yet effective method of giving to give back. Every time your clients spend a night in Botswana booked through us, we give USD1 back to the community via TFI.

Where does your money go?

TFI supports a variety of grassroots charities in Botswana. They work hand in hand with the management of all their community partners by giving financial aid and practical guidance for effective and sustainable operations. Just some of the incredible organisations that TFI work with include:

  • Bana Ba Letsatsi – dedicated to supporting vulnerable children in Maun
  • Women Against Rape – supporting abused women and children with trauma counseling, health services, legal aid, safe housing, child support and education
  • Maun Animal Welfare Society (MAWS) – providing care to animals that owners who do not have the financial means are unable to offer. The clinic hosts international volunteer vets year-round who sterilize and vaccinate dogs and cats and provide life-saving emergency treatment.

If you would like to make an additional donation, you can ask for this to be added to your invoice and this will be passed directly on to TFI.
